Movember Madness

What a month it has been in order to celebrate and highlight the excellent work carried out by both Movember and the other men's mental health charities and groups.

We have had moustache madness - where staff shaved off their facial hair to raise both funds and awareness of the importance of men - of all ages, to have their health checked regularly.

We have looked at suicide and self harming support groups for men, as more and more men are hurting themselves when the pressures they have to deal with become too great.

We've had classes on sexual health - including the importance of both testicular cancer and prostate checks.

We've looked at health eating and well being - ensuring that as men, we know how to access support and advice when we are feeling low.

We have held competitions - including a pupil/teacher football match - Team Prostate and Team Testicle, we've tried to accumulate the largest amount of KM's to improve our well-being, held a 60 second silence to remember the men who have lost their lives or been diagnosed with cancer and to finish this entire months work, we have even held a Movember coffee morning.

The work has been outstanding as has the support from parents and other community groups.

This is amazing work!
