  • Holiday Hunger

    Mon 26 Oct 2020

    Morning everyone,

Hope with the clocks going back an hour, you've all enjoyed your extra hour in bed.

You may have seen on the news and Twitter, the on going battle with the Government, Local Councils, Marcus Rashford and major food suppliers - to ensure that children and their families don't go hungry over the half term break.

In case you are finding it difficult this week to feed the family, there are lots of places to go to ensure you and your family are fed:

Papa Johns - all across London: any child aged 6-15 years old can eat for FREE between 2pm and 4pm. They will get a personal sized pizza - collection only. Please check with your local Papa Johns first.

Greenwich has a list of places you can get FREE meals from TODAY. Click or tap here to be taken to their website with the list of venues on it.

If you are really struggling, then please send either Jill, Neal or myself and email (our addresses are below) and we will do whatever we can to help. No one needs to go hungry in the UK!

    Have a great week!

  • Face Coverings are Mandatory

    Tue 20 Oct 2020

The DfE and Public Health England, updated their guidance on the use of face coverings within education :

When an area moves to Local COVID Alert Level High or Very High, pupils in Year 7 and above and all adults working with them, should wear face coverings when moving around the premises, outside of classrooms such as in corridors and where social distancing cannot be easily maintained. They do not need to be worn within class, outside on the playground or when eating lunch.

To reiterate, face coverings should not be worn in class – only when moving around the building.

As of today, ALL at King’s Oak should wear a face covering in communal areas
