I hope you have managed to get some quality time with family and friends over the half term break - which has been even more important following the Prime Minister's announcement over the weekend.

So what next? What happens now?

 

School:

• Nothing will change with coming to school. Transport will be the same - face coverings MUST be worn both on public and Royal Borough of Greenwich transport. School will run in exactly the same way as it did before half term. 
• Staff at both schools and pupils at King's Oak, will continue to wear face coverings in communal areas but not in class.
• If you or your household are displaying symptoms - then as we asked before half term, you need to stay away from school for 48 hours past the last symptom (if non COVID) and follow the current guidance for COVID related symptoms including notifying school of a potential case ; getting a test ; notifying school of the result - negative or positive so that we can either assist in test and trace and reduce the spread within the community or reassure the school community that it is safe for your child to return.

 

It is vital that we all play our part in ensuring that we limit any infections coming into school. If your child has to stay at home, they will be expected to engage in our remote/home learning. This will be directed by the class teacher and you will be given support to help carry on their learning. 

 

As last term, we are not accepting visitors on site. If you need to speak to a member of staff, please contact the school so arrangements can and will be made.

 

Other Areas:

• Stay at home - unless your place of work remains open and you cannot work from home
• You can exercise outdoors or visit parks but only with people you live with, your support bubble or 1 other person outside your household - you cannot meet in a private garden from Thursday.
• You can leave to get help for medical emergencies or to avoid harm such as domestic abuse
• You can shop for essentials but this should be done as infrequently as possible
• Remember Hands Face Space at all times
• All non essential shops, bars, clubs, restaurants will close - unless they can do delivery take away ; indoor and outdoor leisure facilities including gyms will close ; hairdressers, tattoo parlours, spas etc to close.
• Playgrounds will remain open this time
• Support groups for therapy, medical aid, drug and alcohol recovery, new parenting classes, long term illness support groups, bereavement counselling will remain open
• NHS services including GP's are to remain open
• Job Centre Plus sites to remain open
• Courts to remain open
• Civil Registration Offices to remain open
• Weddings and civil partnerships will not be permitted
• Funerals - maximum of 30 to attend and advised only the very close family attend. Any ceremonial events (stone setting, ash scattering etc) can only have 15 people in attendance
• All places of worship will close unless : used for a funeral ; broadcast an act of worship ; individual prayer ; essential services such as food banks or blood donation
• Child care can still be accessed

As we've already shown as a community, we can get through this. We have been successfully open since the Spring, we have worked hard together to ensure all our safety and so this will not change.
